An iris is a configurable instrument, and that is its point: the values on the face, where they sit, the colour arcs, the Vne line and the units all follow your aircraft rather than a generic scale. Configuring a Gen 1 iris yourself needs the CAN2WiFi device — a tool made for maintenance organisations and manufacturers who set up many instruments, and an expensive one to buy for a single panel. This service is the alternative: order it with your iris, tell us what you want on the screen and what your aircraft's limits are, and the instrument arrives configured.
What we need from you
Add the details in the order notes at checkout, or reply to your order confirmation with them:
- Which iris the configuration is for, if there is more than one on the order
- What goes on the face — the values you want shown and roughly where (airspeed, altitude, vertical speed, QNH, G, clocks…), or "like the product photo"
- Units — knots, km/h or mph; feet or metres; hPa or inHg
- Speed limits from your flight manual — Vs0 and Vs1 (white and green arc), Vfe, Vno or Vna (top of the green arc), Vne (red line), and any others you want marked
- G limits for a G-force page, and your time zone for a chrono
- Colours and font size if you have a preference, and whether the configuration should be locked for a club aircraft
Anything you leave out we set to the iris default, and you can change everything later.
When it is the right choice
One iris in one aircraft. The CAN2WiFi earns its price when there are many instruments to set up — a workshop, a fleet, a manufacturer's production line — and for a single device the service costs a fraction of it.
iris Gen 2
The iris AiO Gen 2 and Display Gen 2 have a configuration portal built in — connect over WiFi from any phone, tablet or computer, no extra hardware — and it also calibrates the instrument (IAS, TAS and CAS). You do not need this service for a Gen 2 to configure it yourself; order it if you would simply rather we did it.
One service per instrument. The service is carried out before shipment; it does not cover an instrument you already have installed.

What do I need to send you?
Which iris it is for, what you want on the face and roughly where, the units, and the speed limits from your flight manual — Vs0, Vs1, Vfe, Vno/Vna, Vne — plus G limits for a G-force page and your time zone for a chrono. Put it in the order notes at checkout or reply to the order confirmation.
Do I need it for an iris Gen 2?
No — the iris AiO Gen 2 and Display Gen 2 have a configuration portal built in, reachable over WiFi from any device, and it calibrates the AiO's airspeed (IAS, TAS, CAS) as well. Order the service only if you would rather we did the setup.
Can I change the configuration later?
Yes. A Gen 2 through its built-in portal; a Gen 1 with a CAN2WiFi, or by sending the instrument to us.
Does it cover an instrument I already have?
No — the service is carried out before shipment, one service per instrument on the same order.
