Details.

The iris EFIS Pro is the iris EFIS with everything switched on. The same instrument, the same AHRS and GNSS, the same backup battery — and, from the first power-up, the navigation, terrain, airspace, G-force and logbook pages that the standard EFIS unlocks later by licence. This is the 80 mm version, with a 3.5 inch display that gives the map room to breathe. Buy the Pro when you know you want all of it; it costs less than the EFIS and the licence bought separately.

What the Pro adds

  • Navigation — load your own airport and turnpoint files, plan and fly a route, check an airport's frequency and runway direction, all over 3D terrain in twelve colour palettes
  • Airspace — free airspace files you can recolour or switch off by class
  • G-force page — load on pilot and airframe with minimum and maximum; adjust the scale in flight on the left knob
  • Logbook — the last 50 flights with date, duration, pilot, take-off and landing times and maximum altitude, synced to LX Cloud when online
  • Info page — GPS status and position, UTC, outside air temperature, density altitude, supply voltage and the backup battery's state

Still a primary flight display first

The PFD page is unchanged: horizon in the middle, airspeed and altitude tapes either side, heading below. Heading bug on the left knob, QNH and map zoom on the right, quick settings on a press. Every unit is calibrated before it leaves the bench, and the AHRS is the same sensor certified avionics manufacturers use.

Configured from a phone

Layout, speed arcs, Vne line, units and pilot profiles are set over WiFi from any phone or tablet — manufacturer, service shop and pilot each at their own level.

In the panel

  • Standard 80 mm cutout, 82 × 82 × 52 mm, 278 g
  • 3.5 inch transflective display
  • Built-in AHRS and GNSS, OAT input
  • 9–30 V DC, 250 mA at 12 V; backup battery 3–5 hours
  • LX one chip, 32 GB internal plus 32 GB SD card
  • CAN bus, WiFi, Bluetooth

Pair it with the iris EFIS Pro display 80 for a second screen — one for the horizon, one for the map. Also available as the iris EFIS Pro 57. Non-TSO: for ultralight, light-sport and Experimental aircraft.

Questions pilots ask.

What is the difference to the iris EFIS?

The hardware is identical. The Pro ships with navigation over 3D terrain, airspace, the G-force page, the logbook and the info page already unlocked; the EFIS adds them later with a licence key.

Can I add a second screen?

Yes — the iris EFIS Pro display 80 connects over one CAN cable and shows the map while the Pro keeps the horizon.

What panel hole does it need?

A standard 80 mm cutout; the iris EFIS Pro 57 is the same instrument for a 57 mm cutout.
