Details.

The Astro+ carries its own battery for portable use. Installed permanently — behind the panel, with remote antennas — it should run from the aircraft, and this is the harness that connects it: power and ground on open ends, ready for the airframe wiring, to the Astro+'s connector.

When you need it

With the Astro+ in a fixed installation, especially the version with remote antennas and mounting brackets. A portable Astro+ on the glareshield does not need it.

Works with both Astro+ versions.
