Details.
The PowerFLARM Eagle mounts on the two M3 eyelets on its housing, and for most installations that is enough. The mounting set is the alternative: a frame that holds the unit and fixes to the airframe on at least four screws, for a mounting surface that suits a frame better than two eyelets, or an installer who wants the unit removable without touching the eyelets again.
Where the Eagle goes
Behind the firewall, more than 25 cm from the compass, with no cooling needed and the antennas routed to where they can see the sky. The frame does not change any of that; it changes only how the box is held.
