Details.
LX panel instruments — Era, LX 10K, the iris line, the vario indicators and their accessories — share one CAN bus, and this is the cable that joins two of them: RJ45 to RJ45, carrying data and power together, so a second device needs one cable and nothing else. The 1 m length reaches across a panel, from a main unit to an indicator on the other side.
Which length
0.5 m for neighbours in one panel; 1 m across a panel; 2 m to a rear seat or a unit behind the panel; 4 m for the long run in a two-seater. Measure the route, not the distance — the cable goes around things.
Not a FLARM cable
The RJ45 on a FLARM port looks the same and is not the same. A CAN cable on a FLARM port can damage both devices; read the wiring rules in the knowledge base before you connect anything.
Questions pilots ask.
Which length do I need?
0.5 m for neighbours in one panel; 1 m across a panel; 2 m to a rear seat or a unit behind the panel; 4 m for the long run in a two-seater. Measure the route, not the distance.
Can I use it on a FLARM port?
No. The RJ45 on a FLARM port looks the same and is not the same — a CAN cable on a FLARM port can damage both devices. Read the wiring rules in the knowledge base first.
