Details.

A portable iLevil runs on its battery. A permanently installed one runs on the aircraft, and this is the harness that makes it: aircraft power to the unit and the RS232 data lines out of it, on open ends ready for the airframe wiring. The 12 ft length is for the long runs — a unit in the rear of a two-seater, in the tail cone, or on the far side of the aircraft from the bus.

What it carries

Power and ground for the unit, and the serial data in and out that connects the iLevil to a panel navigator or an autopilot — the same lines that make the flight plan on the tablet reach the panel.

Also available in 3, 6 and 9 ft. Measure the route before you order; a coiled harness is a harness rubbing on something. Works with the iLevil 3 AW and the iLevil AP.

Which length do I need?

Measure the route, not the distance — a coiled harness is a harness rubbing on something. 3 ft for a unit next to the panel; 6 ft for most single-seaters; 9 ft for a unit away from the panel; 12 ft for the long runs.
