Five days in Hangar A: what pilots asked us at Oshkosh
Six hundred thousand visitors, one booth, and the same three questions all week. Here is what pilots wanted to know — and what we answered.
AirVenture is over for another year. We filled booth 1008 in Hangar A with a complete Navia system, an iris EFIS and the whole iris series, then spent five days answering questions from the moment the grounds opened until the afternoon airshow pulled everyone outside.
Three questions we heard every day
The first was about retrofit. Almost nobody arrives with an empty panel. Navia was built for exactly that case: the Hub carries the bus, and instruments join it one at a time, in whatever order your budget allows.
The second was about voice control in a loud cockpit. We ran the demo next to the flightline with the stand at full volume, and it held. Recognition happens on the Core Pro itself, not in a data centre, so it also works where there is no coverage at all.
The third was the honest one: what happens when something breaks on this side of the Atlantic? Devices come to Celje, and from the moment we log one in you can follow the repair in your account — every stage, with the photographs our technicians take.
What people took home
The Colibri X went fastest, as it always does. Second was iris Gen 2 — the round display convinces people far quicker in person than in any photograph we have managed to take of it.
