WeGlide comes to Navia: live Copilot layers and segment racing

We have been working with WeGlide to bring its live soaring data into the cockpit. The integration comes with an upcoming Navia OS update — built into Navia, not bolted on — and it brings three things to the screen you already fly with.

Copilot: live lift on your map

WeGlide Copilot turns the gliders flying right now into two live maps: how high the thermals go, and how strong they are. Navia draws them over the moving map, refreshes them every few minutes and shows the legend in your own units, so you can head for the climbs other pilots are already finding. Copilot needs a WeGlide Copilot subscription.

Segments: race the best flight

WeGlide segments are popular stretches of sky, each with its own leaderboard. Navia shows the segments around you with the best speed and your own best. Arm one and fly through its start gate: the best flight takes off beside you as a ghost glider, in real time.

• Ahead or behind, in seconds — and by how much, in distance and height.
• The ghost’s track behind it, and where it goes next.
• Your time and speed at the finish line. WeGlide scores the flight officially after upload.

Connect once, in LX Cloud

There is nothing to type on the panel. You connect your WeGlide account to your LX Cloud account once — Navia shows a QR code that opens the page on your phone. Every Navia in your account then has Copilot and your segment bests, and your flights go to WeGlide automatically.

Copilot shows what other gliders are finding in the air. It is not a navigational aid — always verify what you see and fly within your limits.

The screens shown are Navia OS with demo data.
