Navia UPS

Uninterruptible power for the Navia panel. It carries the system through the moments when aircraft power is not what the datasheet says it is.

What it protects against

  • Starter dips — the voltage sag when the engine cranks.
  • Battery changeover — switching mains without the panel rebooting.
  • Alternator transients — spikes and dropouts that reset lesser equipment.

Why a rebooting panel is worse than it sounds

A display that restarts in flight takes your navigation, traffic picture and engine data with it, exactly when you were busy enough to cause the dropout in the first place. The UPS makes the event invisible.
